Job summary

Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s School of Education, Health, and Human Behavior seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology for a fixed three-year term (nine months annually). The appointee will primarily teach graduate Industrial-Organizational Psychology and undergraduate courses in-person and online, contribute to research, and advise graduate students.

Candidates must hold a PhD in I-O Psychology (ABD considered) by Aug 2027, demonstrate potential for high-quality teaching

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in I-O Psychology or related field; ABD candidates considered but doctorate required by Aug 2027.
• Evidence of potential for high-quality graduate and undergraduate teaching and research.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate Industrial-Organizational Psychology courses and undergraduate courses (in-person and online).
• Advise graduate students and supervise student research.
• Engage in professional development activities and contribute to the department’s diversity and scholarly mission.
