Job summary

Manhattan University’s Department of Mechanical Engineering invites applications for a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2027. We seek an enthusiastic, dedicated, and highly motivated educator who is passionate about engineering education, student mentorship, and preparing the next generation of engineers.

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, supervise laboratories and senior design projects, and contribute to curriculum development.

Qualifications

• Teach a range of undergraduate and graduate Mechanical Engineering courses.
• Support laboratory instruction and include hands-on experiments, computational tools, and design-based learning in coursework.
• Contribute to development and improvement of courses, labs, and instructional materials reflecting advances in engineering education.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses at undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Lead labs and senior design projects, including mentoring student research.
• Develop and enhance curricula and instructional materials to reflect industry practices.
