Primary responsibilities include teaching design courses for theprogram, designing scenery, projections, and/or props for mainstageseason productions, providing leadership and mentorship of studentsin the design area, and recruiting and mentoring majors within thedesign area of the program. Possible teaching responsibilities mayinclude scenic design, projection design and control, propertiesdesign, scenic painting, drafting, rendering, fundamentals ofdesign, and special topics in design. Additional responsibilitiesmay include paint, projections, and prop shop oversight. Otherduties will be assigned based on the candidate’s strengths and theneeds of the program. Responsibilities also include the developmentof a scholarly/creative agenda in research, performance, and/orprofessional creative activities.
