Visiting Assistant Professor of Instruction - Religious Studies (Finance)
The Department of Religious Studies at the University of South Florida seeks to fill a 9-month, full-time, non-tenure earning Visiting Assistant Professor of Instruction position, teaching on our main (Tampa) campus starting August 7, 2025. This is a visiting position with the possibility of extension for a second and third year based on performance and funding. Salary is negotiable.

Minimum Qualifications and ABD Conditions:
Doctorate from an accredited institution in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience meeting accreditation standards. Demonstrated achievement in teaching both general and specialized courses. ABD candidates may apply if the degree is conferred by the start date. Must meet university criteria for Assistant Professor of Instruction.
Preferred Qualifications:
Expertise in courses such as Introduction to World Religions, Sustainable Development and Religion, World Religions for Healthcare Professionals; experience teaching online and in person; large classes (45-450 students); experiential learning; student clubs; community engagement; online course development.
