Illinois Wesleyan University, Visiting Assistant Professor Environmental Studies

Illinois Wesleyan University (IWU) invites applications for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies. IWU seeks to hire a candidate to teach Environmental Studies from a social science perspective, with expertise in a field such as environmental policy, international studies, urban studies/policy, sustainability, or any related field. Candidates with experience in GIS will be given additional consideration, but this is not a requirement for a successful application. A selective, nationally ranked, undergraduate, liberal arts college in the Bloomington-Normal metro area, IWU currently serves approximately 1600 students. A successful applicant can expect to instruct 8 small classes of 15 to 35 students in a variety of topics, including 2 sections of Environment and Society and 1 section of Environmental Communication in the fall semester. This teaching position is a full time, nine month, on-campus, benefits-eligible position. Benefits include a health care plan, a retirement plan, considerable time off, and access to tuition programs for employees and dependents. The position salary range for this position is $56,000.00-$60,000.00 as well as access to a full benefits package.An overview ofIWU benefitsis viewable.
