Chemistry Faculty Teaching Position, Non-tenure Track

The Department of Chemistry at Boston College invites applications for a non-tenure track Visiting Assistant Professor teaching position. The successful candidate is expected to be able to teach introductory level chemistry courses as well as higher level courses in their area of expertise, if the opportunity arises. Assignments may include General Chemistry, courses for non-science majors and/or upper-level electives for students who major in chemistry or related disciplines. Responsibilities may also include oversight and development of laboratory courses. Prior teaching experience in Analytical Chemistry is desirable but not required.

The expected 9-month base salary range (paid over 12 months) for this position is $85,000-$95,000. The actual pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as, but not limited to, candidate qualifications and prior experience, scope of responsibilities, internal equity, and market considerations.
