Job summary

Grace Baptist Church in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Christ-centered Senior Pastor to lead our congregation in biblical teaching, discipleship, and community outreach. The pastor will provide spiritual leadership, pastoral care, and vision for ministry while partnering with church leaders to equip believers and strengthen families.

Responsibilities include preaching, visiting members, mentoring leaders, and overseeing worship and ministry goals.

Qualifications

• Clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a growing personal walk with Him.
• Calling from God to pastoral ministry.
• Agreement with Grace Baptist Church's doctrine and values.
• Strong communication, leadership, and relational skills.

Responsibilities

• Preach and teach God's Word with accuracy and practical application.
• Provide spiritual leadership and guidance for the congregation.
• Shepherd and care for members through visitation, counseling, prayer, and encouragement.
• Equip and mentor leaders for effective ministry.
• Lead the church in discipleship, evangelism, and community engagement.
• Collaborate with church leadership to set ministry goals and vision.
• Officiate weddings, funerals, baptisms, and other pastoral duties as needed.
