Job summary

Waco Independent School District is seeking a Principal for a middle school to lead instructional programs and campus operations. The role emphasizes data-driven decisions, equity, and building teacher capacity within the district framework.

The Principal will ensure compliance with policies, oversee budget and personnel, and facilitate growth through professional development and community engagement. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in educational administration.
• Valid Texas Principal or Mid-Management certification.
• Certified Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) appraiser.

Responsibilities

• Monitor instructional and managerial processes to ensure program outcomes and take corrective actions.
• Provide instructional resources and materials to accomplish instructional goals.
• Facilitate development and implementation of a rigorous curriculum aligned with state standards and college/career readiness.
• Promote instruction that supports equity and reduces achievement gaps.
• Establish clear staff performance expectations for instructional strategies and classroom management.
• Foster a culture of high expectations for all stakeholders and collaborate with staff, parents, and community.
• Coordinate professional development with appropriate content, process, and resources.
• Solicit regular input from campus committees and include student/community representatives when appropriate.
• Develop a shared vision for school improvement and align programs with the District Improvement Plan.
• Manage campus budgets, resources, and facilities while ensuring compliance with policies.
