Job summary

Mt. Carmel EPC invites a Head (Senior) Pastor to provide spiritual leadership, vision, and pastoral care for the congregation. The role includes leading worship, delivering sermons, overseeing staff, and guiding ministries to foster growth and community engagement.

The Head Pastor serves as the primary spiritual shepherd, ensuring the church’s mission and values are upheld in all operations. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is expected in this full-time position.

Qualifications

• Ordained or eligible to be ordained in The Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC).
• Seminary graduate minimally required; M Div or D Div preferred.
• Proven experience in senior pastoral or leadership roles with preaching and pastoral care.

Responsibilities

• Lead weekly worship services and develop order of worship.
• Deliver biblically sound sermons that engage the congregation.
• Administer the sacraments of Communion and Baptism.
• Preside over funerals and memorial services with pastoral care for families.
• Supervise church staff and conduct regular meetings and development discussions.
• Coordinate with Mission Teams and shepherding programs to guide ministries.
• Moderate Session meetings and support Deacons andWelcome/Prayer ministries.
