Start date anticipated August 2027. The Director will work with faculty, students, alumni, industry partners, and university leadership to sustain growth in cybersecurity, AI/ML, bioinformatics, and data science

Qualifikationen

• Earned Ph.D. or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related discipline.
• An internationally recognized scholarly reputation with an outstanding record of external funding and research accomplishments; eligible for appointment at the rank of Professor.
• A clear and innovative academic vision for the School encompassing undergrad, graduate, and professional education.
• A track record of leadership in major research and/or education efforts with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to foster productive relationships with faculty, students, staff, alumni, industry partners, and external entities.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

• Provide strategic leadership for the School of Computing and advance its educational, research, and service missions.
• Strengthen the School's national prominence and recruit/retain exceptional faculty and students.
• Collaborate with faculty, students, staff, alumni, industry partners, and university leadership to foster excellence.
• Oversee externally funded research initiatives and steward resources responsibly.
• Promote an inclusive and collaborative academic environment.
