Job summary

This role oversees day-to-day operations, budgeting, personnel, accreditation readiness, and strategic growth, while maintaining shared governance

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in a discipline represented in or closely related to those represented in the college.
• Earned tenure and rank of full professor, or eligibility for promotion to full professor upon appointment consistent with the established promotion criteria in the unit and program of appointment.
• Demonstrated success in higher education leadership and administration of an operational unit at the chair level or above, including oversight of budgets, personnel, and complex organizational operations.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership for and management of the college’s day-to-day operations, including active engagement in shared governance, oversight of faculty and staff recruitment, strategic workload management, and the promotion of organizational alignment and effectiveness across Schools and Colleges.
• Ensures adherence to institutional principles regarding allocation and oversight of facility, fiscal, and personnel resources within the college.
• Oversees faculty and staff personnel actions, including evaluation, retention, promotion, tenure, and advocates for competitive compensation to support the recruitment and retention of high-quality personnel.
• Leads and participates in the college’s strategic planning and continuous improvement, including curriculum, teaching and learning, scholarship, professional and fiscal development.
• Leads the development of internal and external relationships for support of the college’s teaching, scholarship, and strategic growth through partnerships, donations, and grants.
• Represents the college at the University level and coordinates effectively with other divisions of the University and performs other duties as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
