Position Summary

The Vision Systems Specialist is responsible for the installation, programming, maintenance, troubleshooting, optimization, and continuous improvement of automated vision inspection systems used throughout the manufacturing facility. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that vision systems reliably detect product defects and verify critical quality characteristics while supporting safe, efficient, and consistent production.

The Vision Systems Specialist will serve as the primary technical resource for machine vision technology within the facility. The position will work closely with the Quality department to establish inspection requirements, validate system performance, investigate quality issues, and ensure vision systems provide reliable and repeatable inspection results.

Maintenance owns the reliability, functionality, maintenance, and technical performance of the vision equipment, while Quality establishes and maintains the product quality requirements that the systems are designed to verify. The Vision Systems Specialist serves as the technical bridge between these functions. This position will also serve as a backup to our current MES coordinator position, when needed.

  • Maintain system backups, program documentation, and revision control.
  • Ensure vision systems are properly calibrated and operating within established requirements.
  • Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability and inspection capability.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance
  • Diagnose and repair vision system hardware, software, communication, and integration issues.
