Zusammenfassung

UC Irvine, Gavin Herbert Eye Institute, is seeking an Occupational Therapist 1 (Per Diem) to evaluate adults with vision impairments, plan treatment, and deliver interventions in home and community settings. Mentorship will be provided for those without prior vision experience, with opportunities to advance in a multidisciplinary team.

The role focuses on ADL evaluation, functional training, environmental adaptations, and discharge planning within a supportive clinical environment.

Qualifikationen

• Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Post-graduate education in low vision rehabilitation.
• Occupational Therapist license issued by the state of California.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with adults, outpatient setting preferred.

Aufgaben

• Evaluate clients’ ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Conduct home safety/environmental assessments.
• Provide adaptations to enhance safety, independence and performance; OT interventions in home/community settings.
