Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Teacher Orientation and Mobility (O&M) Specialist in Overland Park, KS. This contract-full-time role pays $65 per hour and involves delivering learning experiences to students with visual impairments to help them navigate their environment safely and independently.

The position requires a valid state teaching certificate, CPR if applicable, health certificate, and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations
• Minimum of one year experience in learning environment preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Provides students with learning experiences and activities to support social, intellectual, and emotional growth
• Teaches students with visual impairments to navigate their environment safely and independently
