Job summary

Midwest Eye Consultants is seeking a Vision Clinic Patient Technician / Tester to welcome patients, conduct preliminary testing, and support doctors in examinations. You will prepare patients, explain procedures, and help ensure a smooth clinic flow.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and prepare patients for their eye examinations while creating a positive, comfortable experience.
  • Explain preliminary testing procedures and help patients understand what to expect during their visit.
  • Perform preliminary and ancillary testing and obtain accurate patient histories and information for the doctor.
  • Assist optometrists and ophthalmologists with examinations and patient procedures.
  • Help coordinate patient scheduling and maintain an efficient flow throughout the office.
  • Communicate appropriately with patients and team members when delays or changes occur.
  • Prepare, clean, and maintain examination rooms and clinical equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory of medications, supplies, and other clinical materials.
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming environment for patients and coworkers.
  • Support the clinical team with additional responsibilities as assigned by the office manager, team lead, or physicians.

As a Technician , you’ll play an essential role on our clinical team. You’ll work directly with patients, prepare them for their eye examinations, perform important diagnostic testing, and assist our optometrists and ophthalmologists with patient care.

What You’ll Do
