SeaWorld San Antonio is seeking versatile singers to perform in Pop, R&B, Gospel and Classical genres. Vocalists should cover soprano, alto, tenor and bass ranges and audition with 32 bars of a Classical piece and 32 bars of an up-tempo Gospel piece, with track or accompanist.

You will perform shows, warm up, maintain appearance, and assist in operations. Must be 16+, have HS diploma or GED, and be available for rehearsals and performances; outdoor evening work; parental consent for under 18;

Seeking versatile singers that can sing in the following genres: Pop, R&B, Gospel, Classical

• Soprano D4-G5 Classically, and belt up to an F5 in R&B/Gospel style
• Alto F#3-D5 Classically and also in R&B/Gospel style
• Tenor G3-G4 Classically, and belt up to Bb4 in R&B/Gospel style
• Bass G2-E4 Classically and also in R&B/Gospel style

Vocalists to prepare 32 bars of a Classical song and 32 bars of an up-tempo Gospel song. Please perform the audition with a track or accompanist. No a cappella auditions will be reviewed.

What you get to do:

• Performs show/act in assigned area according to show schedules.
• Performs daily warm-up on individual basis to insure performance without injury.
• Develops skills/knowledge to maintain excellent quality show/appearance.
• Follows through on show notes to insure progress in specific areas.
• Maintain personal appearance by meeting costume and make-up requirements.
• Assist in general cleaning of specified areas.
• Assist in the daily operational aspects of assigned show, reporting prop/costume repairs in a timely manner.
• General cleaning of assigned area.
• Works with cast/crew and management to maintain the integrity of the show.
• Consistently demonstrates courteous and professional behavior in all work aspects with all team members and guests.
• Works as part of a team to increase productivity and while providing excellent guest service.
• Maintains a professional appearance that meets grooming standards

What it takes to succeed:

• Must be at least 16 years old
• High school diploma, GED, or be in the process of obtaining one.
• Must demonstrate ability to perform in casted role during the try-out process.
• Must be able to work outdoors during evening hours.
• Must be available for all rehearsal and performance dates.
• Previous performance in community/school extra-curricular activities.
• Communication and public relations skills.
• Must be able to multitask while maintaining a positive attitude to ensure excellent guest service.
• Provide excellent service to guests and team members.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and work for prolonged periods of time in extreme weather conditions.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to include weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Consistently practices safe work habits including, but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, lifting and reporting of unsafe situations.
• Must be willing to comply with and ensure team members comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards.
• Must be able to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements to include but not limited to passing required tests and certifications within established timelines.

What else is important:

• You must be at least 16 years of age and have a parental consent form signed before you can audition
• This position is hired at $10/hour, but will include a $5 differential per hour.

Audition Release Form:
In order to audition for SeaWorld San Antonio, you must sign a release form. If you are under the age of 18, it must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.

You will not be allowed to audition without this completed form. If you are under the age of 18, please plan ahead and have your parent/legal guardian sign the form before arriving at the audition.
