Job Description

As a Virtual Teacher for the Visually Impaired, you will :

  • Provide individualized and group instruction to students with visual impairments in a virtual setting
  • Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet each student’s needs
  • Collaborate with general and special education staff, families, and related service providers
  • Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals
  • Conduct virtual assessments and evaluations
  • Assist in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Provide consultation and training to staff and parents on accommodations and accessibility tools
  • Utilize technology and assistive devices to enhance the virtual learning experience
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education or related field
  • Valid Teaching Certification with endorsement in Visual Impairments (TVI)
  • Active licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in the state of Nevada
  • Prior experience with remote instruction or teletherapy platforms preferred
