Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a BC/BE Virtual Psychiatrist to oversee the Saint Francis Medical Center Behavioral Health Partial Hospitalization Program & Intensive Outpatient Program (PHP/IOP). The role is 0.25 FTE and remote, with clinic hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30am to 12:30pm and 2 hours of administrative time weekly.

The provider will perform psychiatric and psychological H&P assessments and deliver ongoing weekly care to each patient in the program, collaborating with on-site

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice medicine in the current state.
• Registered to prescribe narcotics under DEA/Illinois.
• Board certified or board eligible in psychiatry.
• Eligible for Medicare/Medicaid participation.
• Maintain OSF professional malpractice coverage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Saint Francis Medical Center PHP/IOP as a part-time virtual psychiatrist.
• Perform psychiatric and psychological H&P assessments for participants.
• Provide ongoing weekly care to each patient during the program.
• Collaborate in a remote, team-based environment with on-site therapists and nurses.
• Allocate 2 hours weekly for administrative tasks.

Overview

JOB SPECIFICS:

• OSF OnCall is seeking a BC/BE Virtual Psychiatrist to oversee the Saint Francis Medical Center Behavioral Health Partial Hospitalization Program & Intensive Outpatient Program (PHP/IOP).
• This part‑time physician role will support the PHP/IOP by completing psychiatric and psychological H&P assessments and provide ongoing weekly care of each patient throughout their participation in the program.
• Clinic hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30am-12:30pm with an additional 2 hours of administrative time every week.
• This remote position will work closely in a supportive, team‑based environment with on‑site Behavioral Health Therapists and nurses.
• Experience in acute behavioral health settings is preferred.

• Clinical base salary pay range for this 0.25 FTE position: $85,000-$100,000.
  • Range shown should be used as an estimate and can be impacted by many factors including but not limited to the critical need of the position, overall experience and qualifications, community need, and other considerations. Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Physician Licensed to practice medicine in current state.
• Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
• Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty(ies). Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges.
• Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
• Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
