Job summary

QuickMD is seeking dedicated physicians for fully virtual practice across multiple states. Physicians set their own schedule within a weekly framework, with compensation tied to completed consults and hourly equivalents depending on visit length.

This independent-contractor role emphasizes flexibility, high-volume telemedicine, and a focus on addiction care and broader telehealth services. Ideal candidates will hold medical licenses in at least five U.S.

Qualifications

• Active medical license in multiple states (5+ states).
• Experience in telehealth or high-volume practice.
• Ability to work at least 15 hours weekly across four days.
• Strong communication and clinical excellence.
• Comfort with telemedicine platforms and EMRs (training provided).
• Active DEA registration and CSL where required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional virtual care, including patient assessments and treatment.
• Build therapeutic doctor-patient relationships and deliver patient-centered care.
• Order and interpret lab tests as needed to support treatment decisions.
• Prescribe medications and provide guidance on proper use (no C-≤S, except buprenorphine for OUD).
• Collaborate with physicians, NPs, nurses, and support staff to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation for continuity of care.
• Stay current with medical advancements and telehealth best practices.

Physicians set their own visit schedule within a structured weekly framework, work from anywhere, and practice without the administrative overhead of a traditional office, supported by a streamlined EMR and a dedicated provider-support team. Compensation is $35 per completed consult (1099, commission-based) — $105/hour at our standard 20-minute visit length, with effective pay increasing up to $210/hour as physicians transition to shorter visit times. Our top 10% of physicians earn $260K+ annually . This role is best suited to physicians who can commit 15–20 hours per week .

Job Description

We're seeking dedicated, patient-focused physicians licensed in at least five U.S. states to join our team. Whether your background is in primary care, internal medicine, addiction medicine, emergency medicine, or urgent care, this role offers the opportunity to practice modern, high-quality medicine outside the constraints of a traditional practice. All work is fully virtual.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional virtual care, including patient assessments, medical history reviews, and appropriate treatment
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care and build therapeutic doctor-patient relationships
• Order and interpret lab tests as needed to support high-quality treatment decisions
• Prescribe medications and provide guidance on proper use (QuickMD does not prescribe controlled substances, except buprenorphine for opioid use disorder treatment)
• Collaborate with fellow physicians, nurse practitioners, experienced nurses, and dedicated support staff to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Maintain accurate medical documentation to support continuity of care
• Stay current with medical advancements, telehealth innovation, and best practices

Requirements

• Active medical license in at least five U.S. states (preference for three or more of: AL, CA, FL, GA, NC, PA, TX ), with willingness to obtain additional licenses (QuickMD covers costs and provides support)
• Experience in telehealth or high-volume in-person practice
• Ability to work at least 15 hours weekly , across at least four days per week, with schedules submitted one week in advance
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to clinical excellence
• Comfort with telemedicine platforms and EMRs (training provided)
• Active DEA registration and applicable state CSL, where required
• Genuine interest in expanding access to care, particularly in underserved communities

Physicians are engaged as independent contractors (1099); Form 1099 is issued annually. Required training, including buprenorphine/MOUD training where applicable, is completed as part of onboarding.
