Job summary

Swartz Creek Community School District seeks a Math Teacher for 6th–8th and 9th–12th grade students. Instruction will occur in person and online, with responsibilities including managing online content and collaborating with life coaches and interventionists.

The role requires a Michigan 6-12 Math certificate, a Bachelor’s degree, and strong classroom management with excellent communication to students and parents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid Michigan Secondary Teaching Certificate in 6-12 Math.
• Ability to deliver effective classroom instruction and management.
• Strong desire to work with students and their parents.
• Willingness to work as part of a building team for instructional improvement.
• Adapt to continuous change.
• Excellent communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Knowledge of or experience with online curriculum is preferred.
• Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.
• Serve as Teacher of Record.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality instruction to 6th-8th and 9th-12th grade Math students, in person and online.
• Manage and adjust the online course content for multiple courses and grades.
• Collaborate with life coaches and interventionists working with students.
• Maintain required records.
• Participate in building achievement team meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
