Job summary

Lever, Inc. is seeking a Virtual Khmer Teacher based in Germany for a fully remote freelance role. You will deliver engaging Khmer language lessons online to learners worldwide and tailor sessions to individual goals and proficiency levels.

You will provide constructive feedback, monitor progress, and maintain a motivating online classroom with strong communication in a distributed environment. TEFL/TESOL/CELTA-certified instructors are preferred.

Qualifications

• C2-level or native-level Khmer required.
• Advanced English proficiency for professional online communication.
• At least two years of experience teaching a foreign language preferred.
• A recognized language teaching certificate such as TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, DELTA, or equivalent preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to motivate learners remotely.
• Ability to personalize teaching approaches for different learner profiles, goals, and proficiency levels.

Responsibilities

• Deliver dynamic, engaging Khmer language sessions to learners worldwide.
• Adapt and personalize learning programmes based on each student’s goals, needs, proficiency level, and learning objectives.
• Provide clear, constructive written feedback after each session to help learners understand progress.
• Monitor learner development through the online platform and guide progress toward goals.
• Create an encouraging, motivating virtual classroom experience that supports learner engagement.
• Communicate professionally with internal teams regarding learner progress and sessions.
• Deliver both one-to-one and group sessions online as required.
• Use video, audio, and other digital teaching tools to provide an interactive learning experience.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Virtual Khmer Teacher based in Germany.

This remote freelance opportunity is ideal for a Khmer language professional who enjoys helping learners build practical communication skills in a flexible online environment. You will deliver engaging virtual lessons to students from different backgrounds and support them throughout their learning journey. Beyond teaching, you will act as a motivator and mentor, adapting sessions to individual goals, proficiency levels, and learning needs. You will provide constructive feedback, monitor progress, and help learners stay on track toward their objectives. The role combines teaching expertise with digital learning and requires strong communication in a fully distributed environment. It also offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative approaches to virtual language education.

Accountabilities:

• Deliver dynamic, engaging, and effective Khmer language sessions to learners from around the world.

Requirements:

• C2-level or proficient/native-level Khmer language ability.
• Advanced English proficiency, with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional online environment.
• At least two years of experience teaching a foreign language is preferred.
• A recognized language teaching certificate, such as TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, DELTA, or an equivalent qualification, is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate learners and build positive relationships remotely.
• Ability to personalize teaching approaches according to different learner profiles, goals, and proficiency levels.
• Strong organizational skills and reliability when managing online lessons and learner follow-up.
• Comfortable using a webcam and digital tools for virtual teaching.
• Reliable, high-speed internet connection and suitable home-working equipment, including a laptop or desktop computer, webcam, and headset.
• Willingness to teach online through both individual and group sessions is advantageous.
