Job summary

Stride, Inc. is seeking a remote High School Social Studies Teacher to deliver online content and support students toward goals. You’ll monitor progress in Stride K12’s LMS, and work closely with students and learning coaches to personalize learning and prepare for state tests.

The role requires a state teaching license, a bachelor's degree, and comfort with frequent communication with families. You will travel occasionally for required activities and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and active state teaching license.
• Ability to clear required background check.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers to interpret data and drive instructional decisions.
• Willingness to receive coaching from administrators and teacher trainers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.
• Maintain teacher certification and PD hours; fluency in K12 systems, programs and curriculum.

• Supports learning coaches with curricular issues and basic tech troubleshooting in a virtual classroom.
