Job summary

Elevate K-12 is seeking a Virtual Computer Science Teacher to deliver live, remote instruction to middle or high school students. This is an independent contractor role (1099) with flexible scheduling during regular school hours.

You will require a US teaching certificate for grades 6+ and a bachelor’s degree, plus the ability to engage students online using Elevate K-12 content and collaborate with the team to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a U.S. accredited institution.
• Active teaching certificate for grades 6+.
• 3+ hours available Monday–Friday.
• Experience teaching middle/high school students.
• Strong engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a Virtual Computer Science Teacher with a passion for teaching students and impacting outcomes. This is a remote position but requires an active teaching certificate that is for a grade level 6th or higher (preferably secondary).

The Job:

• Teach students virtually during regular school hours
• Provide high-quality instruction live instruction
• Engage with students with in dynamic classroom environment using Elevate K-12 prepared content
• Collaborate effectively with Elevate K-12 team members to improve student outcomes
• Design your schedule to impact student learning and maximize your time
• 1099 Independent Contract

What you will need:

• Availability of 3+ school hours consistently Monday-Friday
• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in the United States
• Active teaching certificate
• Past experience working with students at the middle or high school level
• An engaging personality
• Passion for helping K-12 students
