Dutch Vet is expanding its telemedicine team and seeking experienced veterinarians to join as independent contractors. This remote role lets you work from home while delivering high-quality pet care through video consultations and asynchronous messaging.

You’ll review medical history, determine VCPR where required, and provide evidence-based treatment recommendations. A US license, AVMA-accredited education, and 5+ years post-graduate experience are required; 1099 contractors should expect

• Active license in one or more states Dutch operates in
• Current license in good standing; no malpractice actions
• 5+ years post-graduate clinical experience
• Quiet, professional space with reliable internet for video consults
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborative and compassionate approach to care
• Experience with telehealth tools and managing consults independently

Responsabilités

• Conduct virtual consultations with pet parents via video and asynchronous messaging
• Review medical history, symptoms, and treatment concerns on Dutch’s platform
• Establish a valid VCPR (when required) and determine telemedicine suitability
• Provide evidence-based treatment recommendations, including prescriptions when appropriate
• Communicate clearly and compassionately in every interaction
• Document all encounters using Dutch’s EMR
• Collaborate with Dutch’s clinical leadership as needed

We're currently seeking experienced veterinarians to join our growing telemedicine team as independent contractors. What You’ll Do

• Conduct virtual consultations with pet parents via video and asynchronous messaging

• Establish a valid VCPR (when required) and determine whether telemedicine is appropriate for the case
• Provide evidence-based treatment recommendations, including prescriptions when clinically appropriate
• Communicate clearly, compassionately, and with care in every interaction
• Document all encounters thoroughly using Dutch’s EMR
• Collaborate with Dutch’s clinical leadership team as needed

• Graduated from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school or completed requirements to practice in the United States
• An active license in one or more of the states where Dutch operates*
• A license in good standing with no malpractice or disciplinary actions
• 5+ years post-graduate clinical experience

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

What To Expect

This is a 1099 contractor role with no set hours — though vets who thrive here typically offer 10-15 hours/week with a preference for evening and/or weekend availability.

You’ll be supported by our Clinical Director, Vet Support team, and a streamlined platform that helps you focus on what you do best: providing excellent care to pets and peace of mind to their people.

To prescribe medication, Dutch vets must be licensed in one or more of the following states: AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, KS, LA, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, MO, MS, NE, NH, NJ, NY, ND, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SD, TN, TX, VA, VT, WA, WV, WY. You’ll be able to indicate your licensure in the application.
