Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Appleton, WI, is seeking a Mechanical/Structural Design Engineer I to join the Completions engineering group. You will design interior furnishings and wire harnesses for VIP aircraft, using AutoCAD or CATIA V5 and coordinating with shop personnel.

The position is entry level (0-18 months) with a focus on aerospace design, drawings/models, and meeting manufacturing schedules under supervision. Bachelor’s in engineering required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related curriculum; 0-18 months experience.
• Entry level position with potential for growth in aerospace design.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical assistance to engineering staff and completes discrete tasks on schedule.
• Applies engineering knowledge to resolve routine issues.
• Analyzes and evaluates results of project activities.
• Prepares recommendations for changes and compiles reports for supervision.
• Recognizes discrepancies and works toward corrective action.
• Actively improves daily processes and ensures customer requirements are met.
• Continues learning and applying technical principles within the field.
