Job summary

Destination Pet in Kentucky is seeking a Dog Walker with flexible working hours for part-time engagement. You will care for dogs on individual walks, ensure safe leashing, and provide enrichment under supervision.

Responsibilities include issuing care journals to clients after visits, handling cats when needed, and coordinating with the team to ensure safety and pet welfare. Availability in evenings, weekends, and holidays is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
• On-your-feet, hands-on role with pet care responsibilities.
• Able to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently.

Responsibilities

• Take dogs on individual walks following assigned schedules.
• Ensure dogs are safely leashed, harnessed, and cared for outdoors.
• Provide exercise, mental stimulation, and positive reinforcement.
• Scoop the poop and maintain cleanliness during visits.
• Send care journals to clients after each visit; document any concerns.
• Cats: feed, monitor, and provide companionship when applicable.
• Follow safety and pet-handling protocols and communicate with management.
