East Coast Sign & Design in Portsmouth, VA is seeking an experienced vinyl installer with 5+ years in the field to install wraps and lettering on fleets and trucks. This in-house role requires meticulous attention to detail, speed, and strong communication to ensure high-quality results.

The position is full-time, on-site in Southeastern Virginia, with competitive hourly pay and benefits. Qualified applicants must have a valid driver's license and the ability to travel within the shop's vehicle

***THIS IS AN IN-PERSON POSITION LOCATED IN PORTSMOUTH, VA***

The East Coast Sign & Design shop is seeking a highly motivated individual that is detail-oriented and highly skilled in the art of vinyl wrap and graphics installation. The candidate we are seeking will be focused on quality work, speed and customer satisfaction. We are looking for someone who is an advanced installer with upwards of 5+ years in the vinyl installation arena and is experienced in wrapping vehicles of all kinds including tractors and trailers of all sizes. This is a full-time position in our in-house sign shop. We primarily install custom vinyl wraps and lettering on all types of vehicles ranging from compact cars, motorcycles, tow trucks, rollbacks, enclosed trailers and more!

Pay: $32.00–$36.00 per hour, based on experience, skill level, and demonstrated ability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation of vinyl graphics, custom wraps, and lettering on various vehicles and units
• Preparation of vehicles for installation; washing/cleaning, isopropyl alcohol, primer application, removal of emblems and various parts/accessories from vehicles (ie: mirrors, wipers, antennas, lights, etc.)
• Knowledge of proper skills and techniques in the industry to include 3M, Arlon, Avery, Briteline, & Oracal to name a few. Must know proper cutting, sealing & setting procedures
• Removal of graphics and adhesive from vehicles and various substrates
• Ensure that shop and production area is kept clean and organized at all times in order to give a professional appearance to clients as well as to maximize efficiency and minimize potential hazards
• Documentation of all jobs including recording specs and details on 3M paperwork and taking photos
• Experience removing mirrors, vehicle parts, and accessories, including door handles, is preferred, but not required
• Team player
• Motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills

• Must be able deal with stress and pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Able to work alone and have decision making abilities based on the evaluation of each unique situation

• Must be able to do physical labor, stand and crouch for extended periods

• Ability to work efficiently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
• Must have the flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back forth hand motions to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate

This is a full-time position. Working hours are typically Monday- Friday 8 am to 5 pm. However, some overtime hours, including weekends, may be required as jobs and deadlines dictate. Compensation is commensurate with experience, quality, and speed.
