Job summary

Clayton Homes is seeking a Welder Operator on the Vinyl Line to weld vinyl window frames by operating a welder press and assembling parts per work orders. You will ensure weld integrity and pass frames along the line to the next stage while documenting daily quality checks.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and the ability to cross-train. A production background and basic computer skills are desirable for success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to cross-train into other job functions, if needed.
• Must be able to read a tape measurer.
• Basic knowledge and computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Reading work orders and welding various window parts to specification.
• Insure structurally sound integrity of each weld.
• Maintain a steady flow of production by partnering with Saw Operators, Frame Punchers and Cleaner Operators.
• Working with the Production Manager, Area Coordinator and Team Leader to ensure manufacturing and quality performance standards are maintained.
• Cross-training in production duties.
• Completing and mastering the job with the highest level of safety and accuracy.
• Listening and applying feedback from management to produce quality products.
• Other tasks, as assigned.
