Job summary

Yamaha Corporation of America is seeking a Video Production Intern for the Spring term (January - July) at our Buena Park, CA headquarters. The hybrid internship runs 3–6 months and offers hands-on experience across concept to launch in marketing projects for musical instruments and audio/visual products.

The role involves assisting on video shoots, creating motion graphics, organizing content, and supporting the production team with pre-production documents and asset management.

Qualifications

• Must be a sophomore, junior, or senior from an accredited university or have graduated within a year with a degree in Video Production, Music Production, or a combination thereof
• Must be able to work full time (M-F 8:30-5) during internship
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• Audio and/or video production and editing
• Comfortable with video production schedules and on set etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Assist on projects and act as video production crew member
• Assist in developing motion graphics, video bumpers and end card templates
• Assist production team with video and photo shoots including set up and tear down
• Work onsite to help organize and maintain video/photo content studio space
• Work with the team to create pre-production documents (call sheets, shot lists, overheads, etc.)
• Conduct stock photo/video and music searches
• Help with asset management, clipping, tagging, editing, and archiving
• Assist with audio, lighting, G&E and basic camera set ups on location
• Pitch-in with various day-to-day departmental needs

In the role of Video Production Intern, you will have the opportunity to participate on work for Yamaha musical instrument and audio/visual products. You'll be involved in every aspect of marketing projects from conception to launch and you should be able to walk away from the internship with first-class work to add to your portfolio. We're looking for an intern who is a true team member, who wants to learn from the breadth of experience that our team has to offer.

We are recruiting for the Spring term: January - July. This is a paid internship and relocation is not provided. Internships with Yamaha last approximately 3 months but will not exceed 6 months. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, driven and ready to learn.

This position is located in our corporate office in Buena Park, CA and is a hybrid schedule.

Compensation

• Up to $17.40/hour
