Our client in the Personal Care space is looking for a video producer to join their team!
Title: Video Producer
Onsite: 5 days/week
Employment Type: Full-Time
What You’ll Do:
Create Great Ads
- Concept and produce paid social video across formats including UGC, street interviews, podcast-style content, studio shoots, founder-led videos, and static-to-video concepts.
- Develop creative concepts and variations based on audience insights, product benefits, trends, and performance data.
- Direct creators, customers, real people, and professional talent during efficient shoot days.
- Adapt between lean, mobile productions and fully lit studio sets.
- Maintain a healthy pipeline of shoot-ready ideas so production is never waiting on concepts.
Use Performance Data to Guide Creative
- Identify promising concepts and angles through ad performance, customer reviews, comments, competitive research, and cultural trends.
- Launch thoughtful creative tests, monitor results, and turn learnings into stronger future ads.
- Understand and use key paid-social metrics such as hook rate, hold rate, click-through rate, CPA, and spend.
- Build repeatable creative formats that can scale—not just one-off hero pieces.
Manage Production End to End
- Own shoots from planning through wrap, including budgets, casting, creator coordination, locations, props, product, gear, schedules, and logistics.
- Keep multiple productions moving at once while maintaining quality and momentum.
- Build and maintain a growing network of creators, talent, crew, and production partners.
- Deliver a consistent weekly output of new concepts, variations, and testable creative.
Partner with the Editing Team
- Organize footage and provide editors with the creative context, hooks, coverage, and direction needed to cut efficiently.
- Create rough cuts when doing so is the fastest path to testing an idea.
- Collaborate with the creative team to ensure concepts remain strategically focused and platform-ready.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience producing short-form video, ideally for paid social advertising.
- A portfolio demonstrating strong creative instincts; performance context such as sales, signups, spend, retention, or engagement is a plus.
- Comfort being on camera or directing people who are.
- Ability to create rough edits using Premiere, CapCut, or similar editing tools.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage several active productions without losing details.
- Confidence working with both real people and professional talent on set.
- Resourcefulness with budgets, timelines, and production constraints.
- A bias toward action, fast iteration, and continuous improvement.
- Willingness to work in person from a Durham, NC office.
Nice to Have
- Experience in CPG, DTC, or consumer-brand marketing.
- Experience creating paid social creative for Meta, TikTok, or YouTube.
- Experience producing UGC and creator-led content at volume.
- Experience with street interviews, real-person shoots, photography, or studio lighting.
- An existing network of creators, talent, crew, or production partners.
