Apple Inc. is seeking an ambitious ML researcher to advance video technology across Apple products. You will explore practical ML algorithms for image/video processing, develop datasets and architectures, and prototype solutions that can scale across devices.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, publish results and contribute to the next generation of video experiences for billions of users. This is a highly self-directed role requiring strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in ML research, which can include Ph.D. work.
• Proven track record of success in deep learning, with publications in top ML/CV venues.
• Familiarity with the latest ML and CV innovations, including GenAI modeling techniques.
• Proficiency in Python and software skills in common ML tools such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Knowledge of ML and deep learning: prototyping, architecture design, training procedures, debugging, and objective function design.

Responsibilities

• Research ML-based image/video processing approaches: invent models, design datasets and pipelines, prototype architectures.
• Collaborate with team to optimize models and deploy on hardware architectures.
• Work with cross-functional teams to meet quality and compute requirements for shipping technology.
• Communicate progress and demonstrate technology to leadership.
