Longwell Partners is a full-service, pro-democracy communications firm based in Washington, DC. We specialize in high-profile political projects—including The Bulwark, Home of the Brave, and Republican Voters Against Trump—and we're looking for a Video Journalist to find, report, shoot, and edit compelling video content that advances our pro-democracy mission.
If you follow politics closely, are comfortable in front of a camera, and can take a story from idea to finished video, we want to hear from you.
You’ll identify stories worth telling, report them out, shoot them, and edit them into polished content for social media, digital platforms, and beyond. You own the process from start to finish. You’ll work alongside a small video team, but you’ll be expected to generate your own story ideas and execute them independently.
A major focus of this role will be covering corruption in American politics: the people, the money, and the scandals that aren’t breaking through in today's information environment. You’ll help change that. The ideal candidate has sharp political instincts, strong on-camera presence, a creative eye for new approaches to digital storytelling, and the technical skills to bring them to life.
