Job summary

Lifeway is seeking a skilled Video Editor to join our creative team working on the Hyfi curriculum. You will manage post-production from raw footage to final edits, shaping tone, pacing, and emotional impact while upholding Lifeway’s brand standards.

You’ll collaborate with producers, motion designers, and editors to deliver engaging videos for Next Gen ministries, with occasional travel to Nashville and flexible remote options. A strong reel and 3+ years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; Master’s not required.
• Minimum 3 years of professional video editing/post-production experience.
• Proficient in narrative editing, pacing, and tone across formats.
• Submit an editing reel demonstrating relevant skills.
• Experience with audio mixing and color correction at a professional level.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and coordinate with team members.

Responsibilities

• Edit raw footage into polished stories aligned with Lifeway’s brand standards.
• Make editorial decisions on pace, style, and tone for target audiences and platforms.
• Perform audio mixing, color correction, and sound design.
• Source and incorporate music, SFX, graphics, and footage from internal and external partners.
• Collaborate with motion designers and editors to integrate animations and templates.
• Maintain organized file management and consistent naming conventions.
• Participate in reviews and implement stakeholder revisions efficiently.
• Communicate timelines and production needs clearly to team.
• Contribute to team growth through coaching and process improvements.
• Occasionally travel to Nashville for in-person meetings.

About The Role

We are seeking a talented and passionate Video Editor to join our creative team, focusing on the development of engaging video content for our Hyfi curriculum. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire post-production process—from editing raw footage to delivering polished videos that resonate with our audience and uphold Lifeway’s brand standards. Your creative expertise will shape the tone, pacing, and emotional impact of each project, supporting Next Gen ministries and fostering spiritual growth among young audiences. Collaboration is key in this role; you will work closely with producers, motion designers, and creative leads to ensure that every video meets project goals and quality expectations. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
• Master’s degree or advanced graduate degree (not required)
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in video editing, post-production, or media production
• Strong proficiency in narrative editing, including shaping tone, pacing, and flow across various content types
• Must submit an editing reel with the application demonstrating relevant skills
• Experience with audio mixing and color correction at a professional level
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize deliverables efficientlyProficiency in sourcing and integrating music, sound effects, graphics, and footage
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and stakeholders
• Reliable creative judgment and decision‑making abilities
• Willingness to travel to Middle Tennessee 2‑4 times annually for team gatherings
• Active involvement in an evangelical Christian church
• Experience serving in Next Gen ministries is strongly preferred

• Collaborate with motion graphic designers and fellow editors to integrate animations, captions, and branded templates
• Maintain organized file management and consistent naming conventions for all source and project files
• Participate in review cycles by providing constructive feedback and implementing stakeholder revisions efficiently
• Communicate project timelines, creative challenges, and production needs clearly to team members and stakeholders
• Contribute to team growth through peer coaching, critique sessions, and process improvement suggestions
• Support motion graphics workflows and assist with basic motion design when necessary
• Occasionally travel to Nashville for in‑person team meetings and collaborative sessions
