Job summary

The Daily Wire seeks a Video Editor to join our Washington, D.C. office. You will handle a range of content including daily podcasts, long-form interviews, YouTube videos, and docs from Daily Wire productions.

You will edit raw footage with creative storytelling, follow editing standards, and collaborate with the Post-Production Director and Production team to deliver polished content on tight deadlines.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional video editing experience.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Premiere Pro and Photoshop.
  • Strong knowledge of digital media formats, codecs, resolutions, and frame rates.
  • Experience with After Effects, motion graphics, audio mixing, and color correction preferred.
  • Strong visual sensibility with understanding of pacing and storytelling.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

  • Edit Daily Wire daily podcasts, shows, host original content, and other videos.
  • Transform raw footage into polished content through editing and storytelling.
  • Create assembly edits, string-outs, and final finishing edits for various formats.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Post-Production to implement feedback.
  • Develop and maintain templates to support efficient workflows.
  • Convert, transcode, and compress media to meet delivery requirements.
  • Organize and archive footage and project files with daily logs.
  • Deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
