Job summary

Bloomberg Industry Group is seeking a Motion Graphics Designer / Video Editor to produce short-form news videos by editing and designing motion graphics, including charts, maps, and visual explainers, to communicate complex legal, tax, and government topics.

You will collaborate with producers, reporters, and editors to translate complex topics into clear visual narratives; develop reusable templates, maintain brand style, and deliver high-quality outputs under deadline, with occasional studio

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience as a video editor and motion graphics designer, ideally in a news or documentary environment.
• Expertise in Premiere and After Effects, and skilled in animation, typography, and information design.
• Demonstrated ability to create clean, accurate, and fast-turnaround graphics for charts, maps, and visual explainers.
• Excellent visual judgment, with a strong sense of pacing, composition, and storytelling.
• Proven ability to work quickly under deadline while maintaining high production standards.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to take direction and provide creative input.

Responsibilities

Motion Graphics Designer / Video Editor: Produces short-form news videos by editing and designing motion graphics, including charts, maps, and visual explainers, to communicate complex legal, tax, and government topics; collaborates across newsroom functions, maintains visual standards, develops reusable templates, and delivers high-quality outputs under deadline.

Compensation Range

$85,000.00-$110,000.00

Placement in the salary range will be decided upon completion of the interview process. Salary determination will be determined based on factors including but not limited to relevant experience, demonstrated skills related to the requirements of the role, education, certifications, and geographic location.
