CDS Visuals is seeking a field-oriented videographer who thrives on shoots at construction sites, plants, and events across the US. You’ll capture interviews and B‑roll, fly drones, and hand footage to our post-production team for final edits.

Within 90 days you’ll move from riding with lead shooters to running productions on your own, balancing safety with creativity in diverse environments. The hybrid role includes office planning, prep days, and travel.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional videography experience (commercial, corporate, or branded content).
• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate, completed before your start date. CDS Visuals pays for it if you don’t already have it.
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction and OSHA 10-Hour General Industry completed before your start date. CDS Visuals pays for both if you don’t already have them.
• Strong command of Sony mirrorless cameras, gimbals, lighting kits, and wireless audio.
• Proven ability to capture clean interview audio and lighting without a full crew.

About CDS Visuals

CDS Visuals is a strategy-focused video production company based in Fort Mill, SC. We work almost entirely in blue-collar industries: construction, manufacturing, heavy equipment, and industrial services. We tell the stories of the people, the equipment, and the work. We shoot on active jobsites, in plants, and at events across the US.

The role

We’re looking for an experienced videographer who’s at home in the field. Very little of this job happens behind a desk. You’ll be on active construction sites, factory floors, and equipment yards. You’ll fly a drone, capture interviews and B-roll, and hand footage to our post-production team, who turn it into finished videos.

No two days look the same. One day you may shoot three jobsites before lunch. The next, you may fly out for a multi-day production. Every site has its own layout, safety rules, lighting, noise, and schedule, and plans change when material is late or weather moves in. We need someone who thinks fast, adjusts on the fly, still delivers the shots, and keeps the client relationship strong.

Within your first 90 days, you’ll go from riding along with our lead shooters to running productions on your own.

Where you’ll work

This is a hybrid role. You’ll split your time between our Fort Mill office (planning, gear prep, and team meetings), working from home on prep and admin days, local and regional jobsites, and frequent out-of-state travel by car and air.

Required qualifications

• Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and how footage moves through post-production.
• Ability to problem-solve on the spot and adapt when site conditions or schedules change.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to travel frequently, often weekly, including flights and overnight stays.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs of gear, stand for long days, and work outdoors in heat, cold, and noisy industrial environments.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. You’ll drive a company vehicle, so you must be insurable under our auto policy.
• Reliable transportation to and from our Fort Mill office.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience shooting on construction sites, in manufacturing plants, or in other industrial settings.
• Experience directing non-actors in interviews and on-camera segments.
• Comfort working around heavy equipment and blue-collar crews.
