Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Test Engineer to support the Camera Hardware team in Round Rock, TX. The role focuses on validating the quality and performance of video conferencing cameras used in enterprise environments.

You will execute test plans in a camera lab, follow SOPs, document results, and help prevent regressions before release by validating camera functionality after software/firmware updates while collaborating with engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2+ years in IT, technical support, QA, testing, or engineering.
• Experience following documented procedures and test plans.
• Strong attention to detail and reporting accuracy.
• Interest in cameras, imaging technology, video conferencing, or hardware testing.
• Ability to execute repetitive testing while maintaining consistency and quality.

Responsibilities

• Execute objective and subjective testing of video conferencing cameras
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and test methodologies
• Validate camera performance after software and firmware updates
• Identify, document, and communicate defects and quality issues
• Collect and report test results accurately
• Work with engineering teams to support product development and validation efforts
• Test cameras on pre-configured systems in a lab environment
