Potomac is seeking a Video Associate to support production from planning through editing and distribution. You’ll help ensure brand consistency and compelling storytelling across all channels while growing your videography and editing skills.

This 100% onsite role in Bethesda, MD requires a proactive, collaborative, detail‑oriented candidate with 2+ years in video production or a strong portfolio and a related degree or certification.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional video production experience or demonstrable equivalent.
  • A video‑related degree or certification is preferred but not required with a strong portfolio.
  • Demonstrable photography and videography skills, including basic camera operation and lighting.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with multitasking, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Comfort under pressure and the ability to make quick, good decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Edit a high volume of short-form and long-form video content, primarily in post-production.
  • Organize, archive, and maintain a library of video assets while ensuring brand integrity.
  • Create short clips from finished videos for social media use.
  • Review long-form content to identify concise clips for social media sharing.
  • Set up and operate the podcast studio with professional equipment to ensure high-quality recordings.
  • Capture behind-the-scenes photography and videography to document production days and team workflows.

Summary

As a Video Associate at Potomac, you will play a crucial supporting role in producing high‑quality video content that elevates our brand across all channels. You willassistin very stage of the video process—including planning, filming, editing, and preparing content for distribution.

This role requires a proactive and enthusiastic creative who is eager to develop their videography and editing skills while executing with precision. Working closely with our creative team, you will help ensure brand consistency, strong storytelling, and engaging video content that aligns with Potomac’s vision.

Additionally, weutilizethe Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) to keep our teams focused and accountable, enabling us toidentifyand address both challenges and opportunities effectively.

Every piece of content you touch will contribute to elevating Potomac’s visual identity.

This role is 100% onsite in Bethesda, MD.

What You’ll Do
  • Edit a high volume of short-form and long-form video content, spending most of your time in post-production.
  • Help organize, archive, andmaintaina library of video assets and ensure brand integrity across all visuals
  • Create short video clips from finished productions for us in social media
  • Review long‑form video content created by the Videographer andidentifycompelling, concise clips suitable for social media platforms.
  • Set up andoperatethe podcast studio, including Blackmagic camera systems, studio lighting, and professional‑grade audio equipment to ensure high‑quality recording environments.
  • Capture behind‑the‑scenes photography and videography to document production days,showcaseteam workflows, and support marketing and social content.

Qualifications

Required

  • Ability to work on‑site in Bethesda, MD
  • 2+ years professional experience ordemonstrableequivalent experience in video production ora relatedfield.
  • A video‑related degree or certification ispreferred, butnotrequiredfor a candidate with a strong portfolio.
  • Demonstratable photography and videography skills, including basic camera operation and lighting.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including multitasking, time management, and attention to detail
  • Comfort in handling pressure and making good decisions quickly

Preferred

  • Familiarity with web‑based video editing tools such as Canva and Opus Clips
  • Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite
