A state government agency in Utah is looking for a Victim Advocate Navigator to support victims of crime and their families. The Utah Office for Victims of Crime (UOVC) is seeking a truly exceptional individual to serve as the initial, critical touchpoint for our victims and clients. Whether it be through phone calls or in person, you will be the one who sets the tone, demonstrates our commitment, and ensures that every victim and client feels heard, respected, and safe from the very first interaction.
The Victim Advocate Navigator helps navigate victims and their families to the right UOVC personnel and resources to best serve them.
This is a temporary position, approximately 16‑20 weeks, at the Utah Office for Victims of Crime (UOVC).
This candidate chosen for this position will be part of The Return Utah program, a formal career reentry program for Utahns reentering the workforce after a career break. The program is tied to this job that you are applying for, meaning that along with a new role and traditional on‑the‑job training, candidates hired will receive 16 weeks of transitional support (office technology review, coaching, career development opportunities, mentorship, networking opportunities and job market readiness training).

While the Return Utah program will provide access to resources that will enable you to explore further employment opportunities, your participation does not guarantee employment with the state of Utah upon conclusion of the program.

The Utah Office for Victims of Crime (UOVC) provides financial compensation for victims of crime, administers and monitors victim assistance grants, networks victim services across the state, provides enhanced training, and provides staff support to the Utah Council on Victims of Crime.
