  • Inform victims of status of UOVC applications, decisions made on claims, and determinations regarding reconsiderations and appeals.
  • Provide clients with information about rights, options, benefits, and services.
  • Interpret and explain agency policy and procedures, statute, federal or state laws and regulations, etc.
  • Assist victims with crisis needs and provide emotional support, as well as assess victims’ safety.
  • Provide referrals to community resources such as shelter, legal, and financial assistance.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Fluency in speaking and writing Spanish is preferred.
  • Eligible for The Return Utah program – Must have prior professional/life experience and/or qualifying skills suitable for the job’s functional area of interest and currently fit under one of the following categories:

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and Google G‑Suite.
  • Completion of a 40‑hour advocacy training program (preferred).
