Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers is seeking a Vice President of Water & Wastewater to lead design and execution of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Houston. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, ensure technical excellence, and shape strategic growth for the water resources division.

Responsibilities include client liaison, regulatory coordination, and mentoring of junior staff, with a focus on delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.).
• 15+ years of progressive experience in water resources engineering, including team leadership roles.
• Deep expertise in water and wastewater design.
• Thorough knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local water and wastewater regulations.
• Demonstrated success in project execution, client engagement, and business development.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

• Oversee the technical quality and regulatory compliance of all engineering deliverables.
• Serve as Engineer of Record, certifying plans and documentation as required.
• Act as the primary client liaison, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships throughout project lifecycles.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies to secure necessary project permits and approvals.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource plans to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and project managers, promoting continuous professional development.
• Drive business development initiatives, including proposal writing, client presentations, and strategic growth planning for the water resources division.
