Position Summary

The Vice President, U.S. Patient Access is responsible for leading Travere's end-to-end U.S. patient access platform across the commercial portfolio. This role oversees the capabilities required to help appropriate patients access, initiate, receive, and remain on Travere therapies.

The scope of the role includes payer management, field access and reimbursement, contracting operations, rebate adjudication, government price reporting, hub and patient services operations, specialty pharmacy, trade and distribution, and affordability and free-goods programs.

The Vice President partners closely with the U.S. Sales Organization and leaders from Franchise Strategy, Insights & Analytics, Medical Affairs, Finance, Legal, Compliance and Enterprise Technology Solutions to translate product-specific strategies into effective execution to continuously improve patient access.

The Vice President is accountable for the performance, operating model, infrastructure, controls, and service delivery required to support FILSPARI and future portfolio assets. This leader will ensure that Travere's patient access capabilities are scalable, compliant, financially responsible, and focused on delivering effective experiences for patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and other access stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Travere's U.S. Patient Access organization, setting its vision, operating model, priorities, capabilities, and performance expectations.
  • Own portfolio access performance, analytics, service quality, and resolution of significant access barriers.
  • Lead payer management and field access & reimbursement teams, including account planning, deployment, access pull-through, and patient-start support.
  • Partner with Product and Franchise Leadership to translate product strategies into effective access execution; partner with Sales Leadership to allow for seamless conversion of generated demand.
  • Oversee the end-to-end patient and provider experience, including hub services, affordability programs, specialty pharmacy, trade, and distribution.
  • Lead contracting administration, rebate adjudication, government price reporting, gross-to-net support, financial controls, and the Patient Access budget.
  • Maintain strong vendor governance, compliance, program integrity, audit readiness, risk management, and business continuity.
  • Partner with Commercial Operations and Enterprise Technology Solutions on field alignment, incentive compensation, reporting, data infrastructure, and an integrated CRM platform.
  • Build scalable capabilities for product launches and portfolio growth while developing a high-performing, patient-focused organization.
Education/Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive biopharmaceutical experience, including significant leadership in patient access, reimbursement, patient services, or related commercial operations.
  • Demonstrated success in leading commercial organizations, including field Access and Reimbursement teams, and partnering with Sales to resolve access barriers.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, including performance measurement, data-driven decision-making, budget management, contracting, rebates, and gross-to-net considerations.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across commercial, medical, finance, legal, and compliance functions and build scalable platforms for marketed products and future launches.
  • Experience in rare disease, specialty pharmaceuticals, or similarly complex access environments strongly preferred.

  • Ability to travel domestically up to 35% and work face-to-face with colleagues, including onsite in San Diego; this role is not fully remote.

Compensation

Our competitive compensation package includes a combination of both cash compensation (base pay and short-term incentive) and long-term incentive compensation (company stock), designed to recognize, retain, and reward employees.

Target Base Pay Range: $285,000.00 - $385,000.00
