CCC Intelligent Solutions Inc. is seeking a Vice President, Product Design to lead enterprise‑scale design as the company pivots toward an AI‑forward future.

You will shape design’s role in product strategy, customer experience, and business outcomes, reporting to the Chief Product Officer. You will drive transformation of design leadership, scale a unified design system, and partner with Product and Engineering to accelerate delivery across a portfolio of products.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience leading product design in enterprise environments.
• Former hands-on designer who progressed into senior design leadership.
• Proven track record transforming design organizations into strategic capabilities.
• Experience operating at enterprise scale with pace, constraints, and risk.
• Deep experience building and scaling design systems.
• Practical experience applying AI to design and product workflows; AI-enabled products preferred.
• Open to candidates with blended backgrounds in design and product management.
• Industry-specific experience helpful but not required.

Salary range: $217,236.65 - $280,000.00. This position is equity, bonus, and/or commission eligible.

The Role

CCC is investing in senior design leadership to transform its product design function for the next phase of growth. The Vice President, Product Design will lead enterprise‑scale design across the product portfolio, evolve the organization toward an AI‑forward future, and elevate design as a proactive strategic partner to Product and Engineering. This role reports to the Chief Product Officer and will shape how design influences product strategy, customer experience, and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design leadership & transformation: evolve design from a reactive service model to a proactive, product‑shaping partner; establish operating models across design, research, design systems, and design operations; drive prioritization, accountability, and delivery rigor.
• Enterprise design systems: build and scale a unified, enterprise‑wide design system that improves consistency, reduces fragmentation, and accelerates delivery across products and teams.
• AI‑forward design: integrate AI into design workflows, prototyping, and experimentation; apply experience designing and shipping AI‑enabled products; help define how AI accelerates experience development.
• Product & engineering partnership: partner with Product Management and Engineering leadership; elevate design’s role in roadmap planning, experience strategy, and solution development; strengthen the PM–Design–Engineering triad across product teams.
• Customer engagement & prototyping: increase early customer involvement through design partner groups and rapid experimentation; emphasize prototyping to de‑risk concepts and accelerate learning; improve adoption and engagement through stronger experience design.
• People leadership: lead, coach, and develop a large design organization; balance hands‑on leadership with organization‑building and talent development; influence across teams with conviction, collaboration, and cultural sensitivity.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience leading product design in complex, enterprise environments — proven ability to partner with Product and Engineering leaders to define vision and deliver intuitive, scalable experiences across sophisticated platforms.
• Former hands‑on designer who has progressed into senior design leadership.
• Proven track record transforming design organizations and establishing design as a strategic capability.
• Experience operating at enterprise scale, with an understanding of enterprise pace, constraints, and risk.
• Deep experience building and scaling design systems.
• Practical experience applying AI to design and product workflows; experience designing and shipping AI‑enabled products preferred.
• Strong, pragmatic leader with conviction and presence, balanced by collaboration and cultural awareness; coachable, impact‑oriented, and execution‑focused.
• Open to candidates with blended backgrounds in design and product management; industry‑specific experience helpful but not required.
• Success outcomes: stronger early customer involvement, faster prototyping/experimentation velocity, improved adoption and engagement, and a consistent, scalable enterprise design system that increases design influence in product and business decisions.
