Job description

Employer: AlixPartners, LLP Position: Vice President, Performance and Technology in New York, NY.Duties: Utilize AlixPartners industry-leading analytical tools and methodologies to develop holistic, data driven solutions. Under the moderate supervision of management-level consultants, use strategic planning and analysis, market analysis, strategic information technology, operations strategy, supply chain analysis and strategic sourcing analysis, to develop creative alternative solutions to business problems. Directly advise clients on business strategy to solve problems and transform operations. Develop project plans and budgets, prepare status reports and address performance problems within the organization. Apply cutting-edge business processes and technology to develop new and insightful analytical approaches to business situations and contribute to the development of intellectual capital for AlixPartners practice groups. Up to 50% travel to undetermined domestic client locations, as needed. 100% telecommuting permitted throughout the U.S.Requires a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management Science, or Computer Engineering (or related IT field), plus 1 year of experience in management consulting, strategy analysis or business analytics. Must have 1 year of experience with each of the following skills: • Implementing advanced analytics such as pricing and cost optimization, demand forecasting, customer segmentation and targeting, and supplier performance analysis to solve dynamic challenges unique to the retail industry, in the areas of profitability improvement, assortment optimization, sourcing strategy, and customer management, with a strong focus on driving sustainable margin benefits through digital levers. • Building and implementing high-volume consolidated analytics platforms to support direct vendor negotiations for large retailers, optimizing sourcing, planning, and merchandising to achieve higher profitability using Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, and Tableau and Power BI. • Developing end-to-end assortment pricing optimization solutions leveraging cutting edge Machine Learning techniques using SQL, Python, Spark, Tableau and Power BI within azure development package (databricks, synapse, and data factory). • Leading third party contractors to successfully deliver complex analytics projects on time and within budget, overseeing project planning, execution, and stakeholder communication to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.40 hours per week, $131,706 - $200,000 per year.
