Job summary

Viridan Group seeks an experienced Vice President to provide strategic and operational leadership across its energy and construction portfolio. Reporting to the executive leadership team, you will drive performance, growth, profitability, and a culture of safety and compliance.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in General Contracting, EPC, energy, utilities, or large infrastructure, with a proven ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, and develop client relationships.

  • Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and complex projects.
  • Strong business development and client relationship management capabilities.
  • Knowledge of safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements in energy/construction sectors.
  • Excellent contract negotiation, strategic planning, financial management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive leadership across active construction and energy projects.
  • Lead project management teams to deliver on schedule, budget, and quality.
  • Establish and improve operational processes, systems, and performance metrics.
  • Optimize allocation of personnel, financial resources, and equipment.
  • Partner with project, finance, and executive teams to drive profitability and financial performance.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, estimating, tendering, and cost-control initiatives.
  • Monitor project performance and identify opportunities to improve margins and efficiency.
  • Support contract negotiations and commercial strategy.
  • Champion a safety-first culture across all operations.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, regulatory, and industry requirements.
  • Identify operational and commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain high standards of governance and project compliance.
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key clients and partners.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Vice President to provide strategic and operational leadership across a growing energy and construction organization. Reporting to the executive leadership team and working closely with finance and project leadership, the VP will help drive operational performance, business growth, project execution, profitability, and a strong culture of safety and compliance.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an individual with experience across general contracting, EPC, energy, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure, with the ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, develop client relationships, and identify opportunities for continued growth.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Business Growth
  • Support and execute the organization's strategic objectives in line with evolving renewable energy and infrastructure markets.
  • Identify new market opportunities, strategic partnerships, and potential business lines to support regional and national growth.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, investors, and other stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization with senior external stakeholders and industry partners.
Operational Leadership & Project Oversight
  • Provide executive oversight across active construction and energy projects.
  • Lead and support project management teams to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Establish and improve operational processes, systems, and performance metrics.
  • Optimize the allocation of personnel, financial resources, and equipment across projects.
  • Partner with project leadership to identify and resolve operational challenges.
  • Partner with finance and executive leadership to drive profitability and financial performance.
  • Provide oversight of budgeting, forecasting, estimating, tendering, and cost-control initiatives.
  • Monitor project performance and identify opportunities to improve margins and operational efficiency.
  • Support contract negotiations and commercial strategy.

Client & Stakeholder Relationships
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with major clients and strategic partners.
  • Support business development efforts and participate in key client meetings and negotiations.
  • Develop a strong understanding of client requirements and market opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience within General Contracting, EPC, Energy, Utilities, Infrastructure, or a related industry.
  • Proven experience in a senior operational, construction, project, or business leadership position.
  • Strong understanding of construction/project management, commercial operations, contracts, and financial performance.
  • Experience leading teams and managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Strong business development and client relationship management capabilities.
  • Excellent contract negotiation, strategic planning, financial management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements within the energy and construction sectors.
