Citi, within its US Digital Customer Experience group in Jacksonville, is seeking an experienced Operational Risk Analyst to own third-party relationships and manage TPM risk and compliance. The role focuses on identifying operational risks, guiding controls, and ensuring governance across the risk lifecycle.

The role requires 6–10 years in risk/compliance with vendor oversight, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work independently within a matrix organization.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of experience in risk management, compliance, governance, or controls within banking/financial services.
• Third-party/vendor oversight experience highly desirable.
• Proven ability to identify, measure, and manage key risks and controls.
• Strong understanding of compliance laws, rules, regulations, and best practices.

• Analyze scorecards to mitigate risk/financial/regulatory exposure.
• Collaborate to resolve contract-bound issues and deliver value to the business environment.

Job description

As part of the US Digital Customer Experience organization, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operational Risk Analyst to join our CX Research & Insights Team. The Operational Risk Analyst will own all aspects of the third-party relationship and is responsible for identifying, managing, and monitoring all third-party risks and compliance within TPM requirements. This individual will proactively identify and provide guidance against potential operational risks, thereby protecting the firm's financial stability and reputation, and contributing towards the overall business resilience and success.

Responsibilities

• Own all aspects of the third-party relationship and responsible for identifying, managing, and monitoring all third-party risks and compliance with TPM requirements.
• Conduct regular business reviews with vendors to discuss performance, address concerns, and foster strong relationships.
• Establish and oversee the application of operational risk policies, technology and tools, and governance processes to create lasting solutions for minimizing losses from failed internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks.
• Independently assess’ risks and drive actions to address the root causes that lead to operational risk losses by challenging both historical and proposed practices.
• Governance and oversight may include (not limited to) technology operational risk.
• Serves as a subject matter expert for Issues Management (KPI/KRI/Corrective Action Plans).
• Resolves transactional level escalations coming from the vendor or internal partners.
• Analyze scorecards/performance management tools to mitigate exposure (risk/financial/regulatory)
• Collaborate to resolve any issues which fall within the terms of the contract.
• Develop and maintain relationships across the business users and Lines of Defense to better understand and deliver customer requirements by responding to changes in the internal and external business environment
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
• Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
• Ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

Recommended Qualifications

• 6-10 years of experience in a risk management, compliance, governance, or controls related role – preferably in the banking and financial services industry.
• Third-party oversight or vendor oversight experience highly desirable.
• Proven ability to identify, measure, and manage key risks and controls.
• Strong understanding of compliance laws, rules, regulations, and best practices.
• Solid analytical skills to evaluate complex risk and control activities and processes.
• Strong sense of accountability and ownership, with strong results orientation.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a matrix organization.

Education

• Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

Provide guidance against potential operational risks, thereby protecting the company's financial stability and reputation, and contributing towards the overall business resilience and success. Collaborate with the business to understand its risk profile, evaluate risk exposure, and incorporate risk mitigation strategies Lead initiatives to enhance risk management practices, contributing to overall organizational resilience and readiness Support the execution of remediation with timely and effective outcomes against regulatory expectations Promote a culture of risk awareness and accountability in the business, escalating any risks as appropriate and collaborating with stakeholders to establish preventive measures. Support independent oversight and assurance over the bank’s broader operational risk management frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Takes personal accountability for escalating, identifying, and managing potential risk; implements controls that enhance the client experience and operational effectiveness.
