Job description

At Green Country Habitat for Humanity (GCHFH), everything begins and ends with the homeowner.

Since 1988, GCHFH has been dedicated to helping families in the Tulsa, Oklahoma, area achieve the dream of homeownership. Through generous home sponsorships, individual donations, and volunteer hours, we build safe, high-quality homes and offer affordable, low-interest mortgages to families who may not qualify for traditional financing.

Our commitment goes beyond just building homes. We partner closely with future homeowners including teachers, transit drivers, and veterans to ensure that housing costs remain manageable, reducing financial burden. As part of our homebuyer program, we offer participants educational courses on homeownership that reinforce the values of community involvement and responsible homeownership.

Together, we are creating a stronger, more vibrant community—one home at a time.

The organization is one of the ten largest and most complex Habitat for Humanity affiliates in the country. GCHFH is also one of the only two HUD-certified housing counseling agencies in Oklahoma and is a NeighborWorks affiliate. Under its new strategic plan, GCHFH aims to be the premier partner for affordable and workforce housing in Tulsa, Rogers, Creek, Wagoner, and Osage Counties.

Currently, GCHFH is completing a 25 unit townhome complex called Black Wall Street Square with stunning views of the downtown Tulsa skyline, various amenities will be offered based on client income and unit size. Every unit in the pipeline is a family that will own a home.

To serve more families, GCHFH has grown well-beyond single developments into large-scale developments. In addition to Black Wall Street Square, the current portfolio includes Utica Crossing, a flagship mixed-use development with a mix of affordable, workforce, and market-rate housing, plus a planned medical facility, retail, and grocery store. GCHFH has a strong and diverse pipeline of projects.

Tulsa has a dynamic affordable housing ecosystem anchored by a city-wide goal to add 6,000 affordable housing units by 2028. Alongside the mayor’s administration, community partners and funders in the public, private and philanthropic spaces, GCHFH provides downpayment assistance, support and education to future homeowners, and is a leading developer, and collaborative partner in helping to achieve this goal in Tulsa, and the five-county service area.
