Medical City Argyle, part of Medical City Healthcare, invites a visionary Vice President of Nursing to lead nursing operations across the Argyle campus and its ER and inpatient services. Under the CNO, you will drive patient flow, quality care, budget stewardship, and staff development while partnering with physicians and departments to meet strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in TX or compact license.
• Master's Degree in Nursing required.
• ACLS and BCLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of operational management experience.
• Ability to build strategic relationships with physicians.
• Role over Freestanding ER and inpatient services at Argyle.
• Collaborate across departments and drive process improvements.
• Increase patient volume and community trust.
• M-F 8–5 with occasional flexibility; on-call rotation.
• Excellent communication skills.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Under the supervision of the CNO, the VP of Nursing Operations has accountability and is responsible for the effective and efficient operation of Medical City Argyle, a campus of Medical City Denton. The VP of Nursing Operations is responsible for applying best practices and evidence-based knowledge in the facilitating optimal patient flow throughout the organization while collaboratively working with interdisciplinary staff, internal as well as external to the organization to achieve favorable patient outcomes. Responds to occupancy bed demands thought the day with action-oriented steps geared toward maintaining acute bed access for patients within the hospital’s delivery system. Performs his/her job functions in a manner consistent with the Texas Board of Nursing and in accordance with the hospital’s goals, objectives, policies/procedures and mission. The VP of Nursing Operations is responsible for the development and oversight of high quality, cost-effective and integrated hospital programs among the multiple clinical areas. Ensures efficient and timely throughput throughout the continuum of care. Assists the CNO in ensuring the delivery of quality patient care while improving standards of care delivery, standards of practice, and fiscal stewardship in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of the organization. They will exercise leadership and management responsibility over all functions within the management scope of this position ensuring efficient services that are designed to meet the needs of patients, physicians, the public, and staff. Maintains knowledge of social, economic, legal and regulatory issues, which impact the health care delivery system. The VP of Nursing Operations will be accountable for the overall success of their assigned areas of responsibility which includes Medical City Argyle Surgical Hospital and Medical City Argyle Emergency Department.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support required


• Basic Cardiac Life Support required


• (RN) Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Texas or compact license


• Masters Degree in Nursing required


• 2+ years operational management experience required


• Ability to engage in strategic relationships with Physicians


• This role would be over our Freestanding ER and inpatient at Argyle


• Ability to collaborate effectively across departments, build strong stakeholder relationships, and drive process improvements that enhance workflows, operational efficiency, and overall performance while meeting organizational goals and expectations


• Increase patient volume at facility, reinforce trust with patients in the community


• M-F 8-5PM, Flexibility occasionally required


• Administrative call rotation required


• Ability to effectively communicate
