  • Balance Risk & Velocity: Ensure security controls and compliance mandates serve as business enablers (SOC 2, ISO 27001) without creating friction for employee productivity or engineering velocity.

  • Facilitate Federated Operating Model: Build structured operational boundaries, coordinated work practices, and identity governance frameworks across specialized teams with system administrative access (DevOps, RevOps, AI Enablement).

Role Specific Job Duties:

1. Enterprise IT Architecture, Cloud Operations (Google Workspace & JumpCloud) and AI Infrastructure

  • Provide senior leadership oversight of the core cloud productivity stack (Google Workspace), identity provider, and mobile device management (JumpCloud).

  • Lead IT team that manages provisioning, system administration and IT service and support, including outsourced IT support partner in the UK

  • Drive zero-touch, automated provisioning and de-provisioning workflows for cross-platform hardware fleets (macOS, Windows, mobile) and enterprise SaaS licenses.

  • Maintain 99.9%+ availability, disaster recovery resilience, and business continuity across corporate technology systems.

  • Operationalize, secure, maintain and continuously improve corporate AI infrastructure, model pipelines, and internal AI platforms. Build the systems needed to support and enforce data privacy, governance, and secure API controls for LLM usage.

2. Cybersecurity, Data Governance & Risk Management

  • Manage team of Information Security experts, who lead the company’s comprehensive information security program, encompassing threat intelligence, incident response, vulnerability management, zero-trust network access, and endpoint protection.

  • Partner with the Senior Director of Data Privacy & Compliance to operationalize and technically automate enterprise data classification standards, least-privilege access controls, and automated data retention/privacy policies across all SaaS and cloud repositories.

  • Oversee continuous compliance readiness for security, confidentiality, and availability frameworks (e.g., SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001) and partner with Data Privacy & Compliance on technical security safeguards mandated by GDPR and CCPA. Own technical and infrastructure security responses for customer security questionnaires, serving as the executive escalation point alongside the Senior Director of Data Privacy and Compliance on third-party risk assessments.

3. Strategic Cross-Functional Partnerships

  • DevOps & Engineering: Establish clear demarcations between corporate IT/Security and production engineering infrastructure. Collaborate on cloud security posture management (CSPM), developer tool governance, and secure CI/CD pipelines.

  • RevOps & Commercial Systems: Build federated identity and access standards for commercial tools (e.g., Salesforce/HubSpot). Ensure commercial system admins adhere to central security, audit logging, and SSO policies without bottlenecking go-to-market speed.

4. Financial & Vendor Management

  • Manage the consolidated IT and Information Security budget (CapEx/OpEx), optimizing software licensing spend, hardware procurement, and security tooling.

  • Partner with Purchasing in leading strategic enterprise negotiations with software vendors, managed security service providers (MSSPs), and external auditors.

5. Organization Building & Talent Development

  • Lead and develop the IT and Security teams, structuring distinct functional domains for maximum impact (e.g.,Service Desk, Cloud Architecture, InfoSec/Compliance, Systems Engineering and Administration).

  • Transform both functions into AI-forward operations leveraging agentic AI and tooling automation to support scalable, lean operations.

Required Skills / Experience:

  • Collaboration Skills : Demonstrated skill at working across multiple stakeholder groups to get things done. Experience taking engineering hand-offs from AI Enablement or specialized platform engineering teams to maintain secure, enterprise-grade AI infrastructure.

  • AI-Enabled Business Transformation : Demonstrated proficiency at leading technology-enabled business / workflow transformations. Demonstrated experience with the transformation of internal operations leveraging AI tools and solutions, acting as an informed security advisor in the process.
