Job description

A high-growth infrastructure platform is seeking a VP of Network Engineering to lead the strategy, architecture, and scale-up of its next-generation network environment.

This is a rare opportunity to join during a period of significant expansion and help shape the technical foundation of a rapidly evolving compute platform. The successful candidate will provide leadership across network architecture, infrastructure strategy, reliability, technology roadmap, and organizational growth while partnering closely with executive stakeholders and cross-functional engineering teams.

Reporting directly to the executive leadership team, the VP of Network Engineering will be responsible for defining and executing the organization's long-term network infrastructure strategy. This individual will lead the architecture, scalability, and reliability of critical network platforms supporting a rapidly expanding digital infrastructure footprint. Lead network architecture strategy across large-scale AI and data center environments.

• Design and evolve high-performance network fabrics supporting GPU and accelerated computing infrastructure.
• Drive technology selection, vendor evaluations, and infrastructure standards.
• Establish best practices across reliability, observability, monitoring, capacity planning, and operational readiness.
• Influence major infrastructure and commercial decisions through technical leadership.
• Build and scale a world-class network engineering function.
• Develop standards, deployment methodologies, documentation, and operating procedures.
• Drive performance, scalability, resiliency, and cost optimization initiatives across the network ecosystem.
• 12+ years of experience in network engineering, data center infrastructure, cloud networking, AI infrastructure, or HPC environments.
• Strong expertise in RDMA, RoCE, InfiniBand, spine-leaf architectures, EVPN/VXLAN, BGP, IPv6, and high-performance Ethernet networking.
• Experience supporting GPU clusters, AI infrastructure, hyperscale environments, or accelerated compute platforms.
• Demonstrated success leading executive-level infrastructure initiatives while maintaining deep technical credibility.
• Experience working with vendors, OEMs, carriers, integrators, and senior business stakeholders.
• Proven ability to build teams, operating models, and engineering standards from the ground up.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence both technical and executive audiences.
• Senior infrastructure, networking, or platform engineering leader with experience operating at an executive level
• Background in large-scale data center, cloud, digital infrastructure, or mission-critical environments
• Proven ability to lead both technical strategy and organizational growth
• Experience scaling engineering teams, operational processes, and infrastructure platforms
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to influence business and technology decisions
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments
