Sr. Executive Recruiter at STM Associates

STM Associates has been retained by a privately‑held coal mining company to find a Regional Vice President of Engineering for their West Virginia operations. Based in Beckley, WV, the Regional VP of Engineering will report to the VP of Technical Services and oversee all engineering and technical staff in the region.

The incumbent will be responsible for the planning and execution of all engineering activities for the company's West Virginia coal mines. Other responsibilities include:

  • Short‑ and long‑range mine plans
  • Evaluation and optimization of reserves
  • Assistance with M&A activities
  • Environmental and permitting activities
  • Reserve and feasibility studies
  • Capital project planning, design, budgeting and oversight
Qualifications
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering and Professional Engineering Registration
  • Required: A minimum of 10 years of engineering experience
  • Required: A background that includes both surface and underground mining experience
